"....Your theory is f*cked up like a football bat...."
Ok, lets do the math here:
Jeep CJ-5
T-150 2.99:1 first gear x dana 300 2.72:1 = 8.13:1
Chevy Blazer
SM 465 6.5:1 first gear x np205 1.99:1 = 12.9:1!!
There were no Jeeps that came with a granny gear transmission and a dana 300. The t-18's always had a dana 20 behind them which has a 2:1 low range!!!
Actually, both of those combinations suck in terms of low gearing.
Just pointing out the obvious.
BTW: My jeep was the king of poor stock gearing:
3.82 (1st) * 2.61 (D300 low) * 2.72 (gears) = suck
But its nothing a Klune won't fix.

Just when you though it was safe to go back in the water...
Stock Early bronco gearing:
3.03 (1st gear) x 2.67 (low range) x 3.50 (axle gears) = 28.035:1
ouch
Modified EB crawl ratio:
6.69 (1st gear) x 2.67 (Low range) x 5.39 (axle gears) = 96.28... not that's a better start... nothing a Klune V can't fix
As far as Krebs ratio goes... he has a 700r4 and it's a bad mofo in gearing... my E4OD isn't too shabby either...as autos go...
I got ya beat mark, 3:1 (t150) 2:1 (dana 20) 3.55 stock gears
21:1 crawl ratio.
...
What would that cost? $1400 with the doubler?
The disco ball in my mouth, insinuates I'm ballin'
New post a' la Nix style....
SM 465 6.5:1
NP205 1.99:1
Axle Gears 4.10:1
53 and some change:1 x KLUNE = A LOT:1

How bout my stock mog.
14.9 first
No t-case
7.56 axle
112.6:1 final
Now add a crawler box that was a factory option with a 45.9 reduction.
347:1!!
