It wouldn't hurt to have crossbracing behind the rear seat in addition to behind the front seats though.
sorry, yeah I meant B pillar. How much room is back there anyway? ie distance from the back of the front seats to the tailgate?

theres a pretty good amount of space.

Your idea sounds great Jimmy, but how much headroom is there, even if the seat is mounted as low as possible.

well just every so quickly I drew this up, I know the drawing sucks but tell me what you think about it.

I think it would give sufficent lateral support to both the driver compartment and the 3rd passenger area, as well as provide a cooler/ tool /tire space.

Ryan came by tonight, and between the three of us I think we decided on terminating the cage TJ style right behind the wheelwells. That will give just enough room for a spare behind the cage, and won't look so goofy going all the way to the back. That might change tomorrow, who the hell knows... Here is a pic of Fred "The Great Bondini" using a redneck "nail gun" to pull the dent out of my passenger fender so that the hood will close.

That sounds cool. And do you mean out of all the scouts yall have you can't scrounge a fender?

And what is that hiding behind fred on the garage floor? Is it going to find a scout home?

dammit! in our tired state we forgot to block out a piece from the skunkworks division of BMF. Might be going in a Scout...might be going in a 71 Chevy Truck....then again, it might sit right there for the next year.

Oh, and believe it or not, we don't have another good passenger fender...plus, it's just going to get smashed again, so why put a decent fender on there?
