    New Soft top

I need a new top on my TJ and was wondering if anybody has any information about the Bestop halftop. Just curious.

it's a soft halftop, looks pretty good, and it's pricey...what else do you need to know?

yeah, my top has a rip above the passenger door. don't know how it got there but its getting bigger with each trip down the highway. wont use a top all summer but need one for next fall. As far as price its cheaper than a sail cloth but more expensive than the base replacement.

sailcloth is OVERRATED! Stick with a normal bestop. 51121 if you have half doors and and 51127 is you have full steel doors.....god, why the **** do I know this ****!

i would suggest taking the top to a Sail or good upholstry shop and have them repair the rip. It will be much cheaper, unless you are just looking for a reason to get the halftop

You know an upholstry shop that will take the top off the frame, spend the time to stitch and seal it so it doesn't leak and reinstall it for less that $350? I garuantee you a replacement top is cheaper.

I got a Mexican guy that owns an upholstery shop in Beeville to repair the tears above BOTH doors on my top a while back. As soon as it got cold again the top shrank up and all of his stitches ripped out and made the tear worse.

If you want a new top get one. I personally think those half tops look pimp, but my Jeep just sits in a corner and plays dead so what do I know...
