CDRs truck is just over 110,000 miles, and I think it probably needs to have the trans fluid changed, cause I'm not sure if it ever has. Thing is, I've heard it said before that if a trans is getting old don't change the fluid because you'll end up just causing more problems. I don't know If this is an urban legend or not. So the question is should I-
not change the fluid and just keep it filled up
change the flluid and filter
take it somewhere to have all the trans fluid system flushed
Currently the trans is not experiencing any problems, except occasionally it is slow to go in to Drive when shifting from Reverse.
Edit: for anyone that doesn't know it's a 97 F150, 4.6L, auto trans
