    Driveshafts : How long?

Mine are currently looking to be 17" rear and 51" front.

Will this fly OK for the rear?

A stock TJ is 12.5". I may be able to move the engine forward an inch or two. I'm just trying to figure out if I NEED to do this or not. I'd like the room in the front if possible.

    thanks, ~dso

Dave, if you can move it forward do it. you remember what my driveshaft angle looked like on the cj when it was soa and 2.5" springs? that was a 22" long driveshaft.

Lets not generalize, I'm pretty sure MJs, LJs, CJ8s, etc., all have a longer shaft than yours .

This link doesn't exactly pertain to your question, but it's a pretty good read that I think belongs in a thread about drive shafts.
