    Put a pair of 1500 gph bilges in it just in case you manage to rip it off. Some malibus have sunk because their little bilge couldn't keep up.

    do it and add power trim to it so you can control it. There is a boat wrecking yard in fort worth w/ tons of I/O's you could scavenge from

    test run was successful. the four man crew of fred, ryan, flem and me braved lavon today. mom and dad ran the shore crew. ran like a striped ass ape and sits LOW in the water. had a prop shaft seal leak, but I think they all do. pics later when I get back to the house. Great success!!

    isn't the stuffing box something like a rope saturated in grease and then wrapped around the prop shaft?
    looks like a mean *****...I think flem looked skeered.
    when you mean low are you a little scared about adding more balast?

    Not sure about the seal, doesn't leak that bad and I have a bilge pump. I'll get to it eventually.

    Not worried about the ballast, just feels like you are close to the water when you're in it. Not a very good rough water boat.

    Jimmy actually drove on the test run. I slipped into the driver's seat for putting it back on the trailer and that's when the pics were taken.
