    Ledgewater???

Found a new and VERY promising place to wheel in Texas. It's located
along the Neuces River about 40 miles North of Uvalde. Looking for
trail building ideas, plans etc. For example, one easy wide main
trail with spur trails going off left and right and circling back to
the main trail.... Any and all advice, experiences, etc. are welcome.

Also, if you don't mind getting the information out to clubs and
groups you're members of, Ledgwater is looking for clubs and
individuals to help with the trail building. Check out
http://www.ledgewater.com for more information on Ledgewater. They
don't have any wheeling pictures or information yet, though.

Finally, we have a work weekend planned for Memorial weekend, May 24-
27 at Ledgewater. Camping will be free for anyone doing trail
    building. For more information,

Has anyone heard about Tim McGills property outside of meunster right by the FWD land? I've been talkin to some JNT folks about it and nothing there is easy, its upper moderate to extreme hardcore. I'll try to find some more info about it, but hear its around 35 bucks a day to wheel out there and worth it.

I have been to a place around meunster with FWD, but it is a motorcycle place that they had to ask permission to wheel on. We have ridden dirt bikes out there for years. There were places on that land that are very extreme, and places a stocker could go. I don't think its the same place though, becasue we didn't have to pay.

davido, will they let us wheel there, that place looks cool, not really hardcore, but somewhere fun to enjoy the scenery and relax and have stock type vehicles go, something fun for everyone in the club

I'm not sure. I think the general idea is to make trails and turn it into a wheeling place. There's actually some good wheeling to be done in that neck of the woods. There's a chance that they may develope some hairy stuff. If you're interested in going, I'd contact the Katy club and get more info. As you can see, I will not be wheeling anytime REAL soon....

I think we ought to schedule a TAMOR work (wheelin') weekend....

"Yes, the owner is a 4x4 enthusiast himself. He recently purchased more land along the Nueces River and is looking the develop a trail network and attract 4x4 enthusiasts. Basically, he's asking the ORV community for help in developing the trail network and giving discounted access and free reign to build the trails as we would like them.
Thanks for asking. If you have more questions please ask.

Also, just so that everyone knows, the LedgeWater Memorial work weekend is just a kick off. Any ORV enthusiast or group is welcome to organize a work weekend anytime. I plan on leaving the LedgeWater page up and keep it updated for those that would like to do just that.

    Steve"
