actually it isn't a "B"...it's a Scout 80...notice how it has chrome headlight bezels instead of the square bezels. It has twist door handles, which were eliminated for the 66 model year, and the dash is a dead giveaway that it's an 80. It's probably a 61 because it has the slider windows instead of the rollup windows, but then again, some of the 62s had those too. Best thing to do is pop the hood and look above the brake master cylinder. The vin plate is right there held in by 4 phillips screws.

the Camaro is sold. i bought it for $1000. I put it in the paper for $2800 - running, it sold for $1850 - not running w/much more rust than i knew about at the time. i needed the money. my company, CTI, went bankrupt and didn't pay me for the last two weeks we worked there plus expenses and 401k. i knew the owner personally before i started, and i found, i knew very little about him after all.

i would say there's not much rust on this machine at all, but i was way off on the camaro. but there aren't that many hidden areas on this thing, so...

Actually, I think he was making fun of you John. Is it suprising to you that I know way too much about scouts too?

Actually, I was making fun of your obscene knowledge of crap. However, it did sound much like John. Anyway, this is a For Sale thread, let's take this crap elsewhere.

I hate you Joel, not even a call on the camaro. Where is the love? I figured it was probably a rust bucket, but I do like those cars, and if it was salvageable that was pretty cheap. Not a whole lot of those around. I needed another project like New Orleans needs rain.

not at all. i just find it surprising that anyone actually takes enough interest to memorize it in that detail, especially for the early scouts. im not sure i can even tell you the difference between an 80 and 800.
