    heard this on the news this morning. anyone else hear this?

    Because they are made from rubber that is made from petroleum?

    Increased gas prices = increased everything prices since shipping will cost more.

    All rubber costs have gone up, but vulcanized rubber has more petrol in it, and so tire prices are impacted. I'm glad I got my 37s a week before Discount set a price increase of about 10%.
