Looks fun. I have no idea on valuations though. Do you really want something like that? Skylarks have considerably less mass apeal than Chevelles. A Cutlass is the same. That is the top dog one. I'd make sure it's a real GS if that's part of the valuation. Not hot on the black and orange but looks ready to go as is (add rings, which is a little scary).

I started pricing out my build and it was around $15k without getting really crazy. Life got in the way. I'd still like to do something with it, but I need to get a place to work on stuff first.

Man owns more real estate than the rest of us combined, but nary a garage for the project car. What's wrong with this picture?

(or maybe the problem is the 2 contraptions that do have the garage space )

This wouldn't be a build. Just a toy until a real build starts. My future Camaro or Nova prices out a good deal above $15k. I'm going to go look at it, but I'm not very serious about it right now.

I like Chevelles, but I also like the "don't see that every day" appeal of a Buick and Olds.

Turns out it's still not "free" when you have a mortgage. I do have a 2-car garage, but we need to get rid of crap. It's a full on epidemic. This is the current stable:

    Duramax - My DD
    MDX - WO's DD
Explorer - WO's likely with HG issue - WO's old house driveway
    Mustang - WO's 66ish - WO's old house driveway
Bus - Tailgating (other two are already stored on property) - WO's old house driveway
Cutlass - in Mom's garage in Htown currently - her house is for sale
    Miata - driveway
    Lemons Truck - driveway

    Now to our garage...

    Cruiser
    Honda ST1100
    Honda CBR
    Honda Metropolitan

All have dead batteries. I did sell the dirt bike. I took it out one day and decided it was never going back in. Neighbor bought it. The next prime subjects are the CBR and the Metro (if I can get my wife to stop holding on to it).

i understand you will have the mortgage, but if you get a large building and rent some of the space out to pay the mortgage and then can keep some space for your own shop

Ideally. But no cash. Banks aren't lending either.
