What do you mean verdict? Matt's a great guy. Super busy body. He should take it to the next level. It will be fun to watch.

Many of the "cuttys" as they're refered look like something out of a rap video, but I just bookmark non, stock ones.

Intro wheels (18x7 and 20x10), and Continental tires, with 225/40R18s up front and 275/35R20s out back.

    - 20x10's with 5.5"-6" backspace will fit your 71 easily. Minitubbing is not necessary. Just watch the tire diameter as anything over 31" is asking for problems. A 295/40/20 tire should work fine.
    - I ran 20x10's with 275/35/20's and then switched to 295/40/20 on the rear of my former 68 El Camino. Lots of room left.
    - Get the 18x8's with 4.5" backspacing and the 20x9.5's with 5.5" & they will fit a 66-72 like a glove.
    - I have 20" x 8" on my 67. I have 255/35/20 tires. I wish I would have went with 40 series instead.
    - I recently purchased 18 x 8.5 front and 20 x 8.5 rear wheels for my 70 chevelle. What would be a good tire size? No rubberband looking stuff, but not too heavy either? I have 295/45 18 and 245/45/17's on my GTO. I don't like the rubber bands either. You could use 245 or 255/40 on the front and Go with something 255/40 or so on the rear. Stay with something 28" tall on back and it will look bad arse.
    - 4.75" backspace would be fine. 255's would work at all four corners.
However,I wouldn't run 20's on the front. 18's or 19's would be my choice with a 275/295 combo.
    Just my opinion,though.
    - 20x10's with 5.5"-6" backspace will easily fit a 68-72. For tires,you could run either a 275/35/20 or 295/40/20's. A 19x8 or 18x9 front wheel w/255 or 275 tire would be a nice contrast.
    - I would say this would fit,99% sure.Rear wheels 20x10 4.5 or 5.5 BS,295/40/20 tires.Front wheel 18x8 5" BS,245/40/18 tires.Maybe somebody will chime In to verify this combo.Hope this helps. 20x10's with 5.5" backspace will easily fit a 68-72 with stock-width rear. 4.5" backspace isn't enough for that width.
    That front combo would work.
    - 19" Front with 245/35/19 Extreme ZR Rated 20" Rear with 275/35/20 Extreme ZR Rated
    - 72 Chevelle Small block 1/2 coil trim off the sagging front coils Original rear coils sagging Front disc/rear drum 20x8.5 front and rear 5 1/4 backspace Front tires are 235/35-20 Rear tires 265/35-20 No rubbingNo trimming No problems and still rides great

Holy hell, what's not to like?

...other than the obscene amount of work and cost in it, of course.
