Wanted: Volunteer Disaster help from TAMOR

I mentioned to the CS police chief tonight that I had a tall vehicle if they need any help getting to difficult/flooded areas over the weekend. Much to my surprise, he was actually pretty interested in this and we got on the topic of TAMOR and how we could help as a group. Anyway, I would like to compile a list people that would be willing to help and have the experience and vehicle capable of doing so. Likely this would be for things like transporting police or EMS to hard to reach areas, perhaps evacuating people from flooded homes. Although they asked me to be the primary point of contact, I will be forwarding this list to the appropriate folks with the cities of CS & Bryan to contact you directly if I am unreachable. If you are interested, please post the following info here ASAP as I will be sending this over to the appropriate folks by tomorrow evening:

    Name
Vehicle Discription (Color, Model, License Plate #)
    Approximate Maximum Water Fording depth
    Do you have a CB?
Phone number + Alternate if you have one (i.e. Cell & home)
Emergency Contact NAme & number (preferably outside B/CS area)
    Local Address
email (in case phones are down)

I think this would be a great way for our group to give something back to the community and is a one of the few ways we can use our hobby to the benefit of others. Regardless if whether we end up getting to help out (and honestly I hope we don't), it would be a nice gesture. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me offline via phone or email.
    Thanks,

If i'm here I can assist but I have no vehicle here to help with... How ever I'm probably 99% better than most of the public in dealing with vehicles, water, etc...

I might be able to scrounge up some spare CB's

Wow, way to step up guys. Keep 'em coming, - I'll put together a list tomorrow.

Doug, let me know if you find a few CB's. Not sure how critical that wil be, but if cell coverage is dead, it may be the only way to stay in touch unless someone with a radio is riding with the driver.
    Thanks,
