Just talked to Danny Ray (he actually picked up). We actually have a room so I guess he does listen to his machine! It's a kitchenette w/ 3 beds so we won't have to wake anybody up to find sleeping space from Brandon & Hippy.

Oh, and I told him to warm up the high school chicks for us - he said "no problem"
    Thanks,

I think TAMOR-North got screwed unless they have more than two kitchenettes...
    Boats and hoes

Stumble in to the liquor store
With a dollar-fifty for a bottle of wine,
I know just what I'm lookin for
    Thunderbird will do just fine.

Yeah, Danny said something about leaving you a mattress in the shed out back with the junior high chicks.

Actually, I don't know, it's what we had reserved, but he did say we had the whole hotel.

I think they have like three kitchenettes. We had one last year but there were other ones also. You can come hang out in our room if you get shafted. P.S. Chris is a dirty old man.

    Well, busy two weekends.

    TO DO:
    - mount hydraulic ram & pipe in - ram mounted. tabs mounted on tie rod. need 90s before I can pipe it in. Should be able to wrap it up tomorrow morning.
    - weld front end - will do if I finalize #1
    - groove swampers - anyone have a working groover?
    - swap out hubs (for ones that work) - forgot about these. hmm.
    - anti-wrap bars F & R - done
    - clear up work schedule - done

    - remove the broken off bolt in D-60 - POS!

I was trying to tighten up my bolts on the D-60 and broke one off in the housing today. I tried the Spears method of removal, but I couldn't get it all the way out (got it out some but ran out of nuts). Brandon's going to help in the morning. Hopefully that will run smoothly. I'm going to add some new bolts in there and that will be done.

I mounted my tailgates on the slightly tweaked body. I don't think the center console is going to make it for this trip, but that's OK.

    It's just about go time!

I think all you have for welding is a mig yes? Turn it up all the way to weld that nut on. Use the biggest size nut you can and weld the **** out of it. Then let it cool all the way before trying to loose it. Let it sit for a few minutes after welding then you can cool it with water if you want.

    I have groover.

    TO DO:
    - mount hydraulic ram & pipe in - done
    - weld front end - once I verify #1 is going to work.
    - groove swampers - anyone have a working groover?
    - swap out hubs (for ones that work) - I think these may be a lost cause for this trip.
    - anti-wrap bars F & R - done
    - clear up work schedule - done
    - remove the broken off bolt in D-60 - done
    - replace king pins (may be able to wait until after the trip)
    - replace u-joints in D-60 - yeah.

Yeah, I got bigger nuts today. Brandon came by and cleaned it up and made short work of it. Some of it was that it was dirty, some of it was that I haven't yet mastered the technique. But regardless, it's out. Now on to new problems. My kingpins are worn badly and my u-joints are all but shot in my front end. WTF?!?!? Anyway, back to the old drawing board on the axle.

I'm about to jet out of the office and go try the steering setup.

here i forgot to add this... been busy

    access:

    South side of town open
    charcole factory
horse back riding park- pay jess johnson

    3 stage

freelings place-- pay in a gas pump

green acres-- pay in a transmittion

NO-lower power line and snake pit
except you can run snake pit starting at bottom and run to top but then you have to turn right around and go back down or else you will be ticketed

At Freelings, there is a locked gate before you can get tot he gas pump. Do we still have the key? Busa? Has the lock changed? Maybe it will be unlocked.

FYI for the newbies - Freelings is about 40 minutes north of Clayton - but has some great trails.
