E-Bay deal ... tell me what you think

    Hello all ....
i was looking for a good deal on a kit for my car and i found this e-bay bid that seems quite reasonable besides one missing part. For the most part it looks like it is worth it and has all the components i will need, but i wanted to see what input the A&M off-roadies had to say about it .... input away.

that is a good deal. You would have to source a set of front coils though but that isn't hard

yep, jeep people are more than a bit off.

That kit is missing not only a front coil, but a front trackbar bracket too, and the dropped pitman arm. Oh, and the guy is a moron, the only reason the kit wouldn't fit his 05 is because in 03 they went to metric bolts on the transfercase skidplate and it's a slightly different spacing, all he would have to have done was make spacers for the skidplate. ****! why do I know this ****!

The RE 3.5 kit doesn't have a drop pitman arm, or a front trackbar bracket. You simply redrill the hole for the front trackbar. Not sure if a 4" lift needs anything extra or not because of the .5" difference, but I do know an SYE/CV is strongly recommended for 4" of lift and above. That kit doesn't come with new bumpstops either..

Of course, other than that..its a good deal.

every 4 inch kit I sell has a front trackbar bracket and a dropped pitman arm. He is advertising a 4" kit and that's why I said those pieces were missing.

Drop pitman arm is not needed if you redrill the hole for the trackbar, or get an adjustable trackbar

About the Slip Yolk Eliminator ..... he says it comes with the piece to drop the transfer case... shouldent that be the alternative, even though not the best one?

yeah it is, and if I remember you have the MML so the will help the driveline angles too, so you might not have to drop the T-case

Some kits do require you to drill the trackbar bracket on the axle to allow the use of a stock track bar, but all the kits Ive seen over 3.5 have had a drop pitman arm.

Had to get a copy of that cause I have a feeling we'll never see him say that dreaded "s" word again
