    electrical problems

    plugged one of my dads trailers into my truck sunday and it had bad wiring. now my gauges dont work on my truck, 03 chevy. checked all the fuses, all are good. any ideas?

    My old truck used to do a similar thing, but it was always a fuse, does your truck has fuses under the hood as well as inside the truck?

    yup. went through them all with a voltmeter. they're good.

    crazy electrical guages. seems voltage spikes cause the guage cluster to lose its program. its not a fuse. the options: take it to the dealer and have them do a reprogram on it... or just pull the ipc/dic fuse and it'll reprogram itself. problem solved.
