maby i will cough up the 50$ and get the limited slip... i would probably save that in tire wear alone... it will have to wait till next month then... ill just have to hit everything with a little momentum right eric

For those who have gone before, how much wheeling is actually done? I need to figure out how many propane tanks I'll need. I average a tank a day, but that drops if I do alot of crawling. Looking at how long we'll be up there, I would guess three tanks would be enough, but just barely. Can you night wheel there, and does anyone ever do it if so (or is it to freakin cold)?
BTW, do you'll think it may be a good idea to rig up some kinda snorkel?

id say there is alot of wheeling done, we get up (sober up pretty early ~8-9) and hit the trails and your pretty much gone all day... i think that first friday last year it was dark by the time we got back. and then again night wheeling... some times its an hour... unless your doing snakepit after a SWFWDA meeting and your drunk and leave at 10 and roll back up to the campsite about 4:30. and yes it gets cold, ice and frost pretty much cover the vehicles when they are sitting there at night.... just bring alot of jack and you wont even feel it thoughOriginally Posted by CRaSHnBuRN
hmm, maybe I should see if I can rent a 10 gallon tank or two, or at least grab four 8 gallon tanks. They wouldn't have a place there that you could refill propane tanks, would they?

forklift propane tanks. I have an account with brazos welding supply, so I'm gonna see if they can get me some 10 gallon tanks versus the 8 gallon tanks I normally run.
It's in much better shape than before - ready to go, wire wise...Originally Posted by Doug Krebs

The office sucks - I wanna go wheeling!
Well I'm sitting at my house back home, I came down to take care of the horses while everyone's out of town. I'm making a last push this weekend to finish up the heap before it's sent off for the cage and steering. Hopefully I'll get everything buttoned up and take it for a drive this weekend.
I agree that night wheeling is awesome but lets not get the bright idea to run snake pit at midnight.Originally Posted by Doug Krebs
