    The Sanchez

Alright, well I got tired of not having a trail rig, so I'm going to go pick up a '76 F-100 in san antonio this weekend. Its got a 360 with the 4 speed 435, and 44 and 9 inch axles. Its suppose to need fresh gas, battery, and the carb played with a bit to run.

Welcome. Remember the trick to working on Fords is knowing when and where to kick the damn thing. I wouldn't suggest a towbar, that thing is probably a bit too heavy to be dragging around on it's own wheels.....at least it would make me a bit uncomfortable unless I was pulling it with a much heavier vehicle. Check with your insurance company. If you claim the vehicle to be a "recreationaly vehicle", meaning it doesn't get a lot of miles put on it, insurance is normally pretty cheap.

Nope. A 76 in the F100 or 150 style has a high pinion disc braked open knuckle 44.

What's the deal with people wanting fullsizes, then wanting to flat tow them? Couldn't you get something like an XJ or old explorer or somethin like that?

dude I think you paid too much for that set of axles and transmission
I have always liked that body style though...maybe you could part out the drivetrain and front axle, swap in a camaro subframe and a supercharged 302 and make it a street truck

it wheeled real well, I think something rubs on it somewhere when it turns though.

That willys looks like it used to be a show jeep or something. pretty sweet, I wonder if he would sell that?

It's a bad dood for stock. Definitely had a good time riding in that beast, I was extremely impressed with how it did. Thanks again for letting me be your designated spotter and passenger. Just needs some glasspacks and you'll be redneck hillbilly all the way. Give us some specs on what you plan on doing? Lift, 205 mated to 203, tires, etc??

Ah fook a lift, or maybe a little. Cut fenders, put 35s, lock front, weld rear.

I never said that. I just said I didn't want to weld it up with the posi thats in there. I'll get a spare 3rd member and weld it though.

Probably will lift it 4 inches and run 35s. Not sure what im goin to do about the body. Im just goin to fix a few things up on it before i mess with cutting or taking things off
