Fred will give you the official BMF opinion, mine is that it has potential, but GM will fawk it up if they are still in business by then to do so...

I like it, it does resemble first gens prety well, which is a selling point to me.

Ok, I've got some images to go through with you guys so bare with me.

GM has their heads firmly up their asses when it comes to design. Well, whatever members of the camaro design team who worked on the front and back of the car sure did. That's what makes a retro car cool. Ford has totally nailed it when it comes to this.

Now here's the camaro. Sides, roofline, rear quarter panel top bodyline's muscular buldge....nailed it, but then failed miserably on the front end. It's hard to modernize a giant retangular opening, but turning into a cartoon car smiley face is definitely not the answer.

The way they finished off the front end makes me think that somebody from the design team was having a flashback to the mid 80's.

I thought it was just the angle at first, but no. It grins from all angles like the Mona Lisa.

my point was a valence is decrorative (i.e.- ) and an airdam is functional

the aero tricks on that car are invisible but extensive. dz302's rule! he acid dipped the body to make the sheet metal thinner, thus making it lighter. plus, you can change the oil while you race.(not really but almost)
