the advantage is the skier is being pulled from a higher postion thus making it easier to get more air over the wake, but if ur new at wakeboarding i doubt u would be conserned with that, but a higher tower or pole does make it a lot easier to get up out of the water also

and to aide in jimmy's sell that is a nice board for a 100 bucks even if u only plan to use it a few times, many places charge more then that just for bindings

pylons are way cheaper, boarding off the back of the boat sucks. You will be jumping in no time unless you are a no talent ass clown. The boat just sucks you back down w/out a tower or pylon. If you have a closed bow with a ski pole, the pylon is a no brainer. If it is open bow, or you don't have a center ski pole, The rack would be better. I'm not saying that you can't wakeboard without the rack/pylon, it will be fine for beginning, I'm just saying you will soon want one, as well as some kind of ballast to boost the wake.

Hyperlite or Liquid Force are the best boards.

I don't think it was going anywhere, but sure If you find something else, no hard feelings.

my boat doesn't have any kind of pole mount in the center, if that's what you mean...

is there anyway to make a center pole?

Yes you can make one. Its just a pole mounted in the center of the boat with a strap to the front and a tow eye on top. You have to make something of decent strength to mount it to. You probably have ski storage in the floor, you could mount some sort of bracket in there.

why is it ideal to mount it to the center of the boat?

how long of a tow rope should i look at getting?

how do you want me to send the payment?

its ideal to mount in the center

    1. makes getting the rope to the person in the water easier
    2. makes a better wake.
    3. skier doesn't try to pull the back of the boat around.

cool, glad you like it. The only thing it was missing is two of those little plastic washers for the fins. Those go on top of the board under the fastener. I would bet substitutes could be found at lowe's. Rememeber, "No fat chicks"
