Keep your act together at Gilmer

Saw the thread on Pirate and said "yeah he broke some rules and is a scolded dog now," then saw the comment from a Texan saying "yeah, that sounds about right" or something to that effect, so I read this thread: http://www.texas4x4.org/showthread.p...4240#post84240
I don't think I've been there since this "new management" but I definitely had a positive experience with everybody involved when I went. Does anybody here have input?

I saw that too. When we went last semester we didnt have any trouble and I would think we'd be a prime target for an ******* manager.

They are no Clyde and Linda, but I would think it would be hard to find people to do what they do.

Lawton and his wife are a ****ing beatdown to talk to. The attitude and events of that guy's story don't suprise me one bit. Lawton is a backwoods inbred with **** for brains. I try to not talk to him at all whenever I'm there. It's sad that him and his stupid wife completely ruined the reputation of Barnwell that Clyde and Linda had built up.

it'll be sadder if attendance (ie income) drops and the state decides that off-road parks really aren't in Texans' interests, since BMRA is still the pilot project

I'm pretty sure clyde retired and thats why he's not there anymore. He was kick ass, he didn't treat us any differently because we were young.
