Made some good progress tonight. Got the balancer pulled off using part of a jaw puller and two bolts in the balancer. got the rest of the bolts out without any snags. Got the over pulled off. checked the chain, seemed to have alot of slack, but i did not have much to compare it to. decided to go ahead and replace it with the new to me one I just got from John Brown (thanks!) after installing it - night and day difference. also, the chiltons book explains the timing marks incorrectly, each pulley can only go on one way. the dots are both at the top of the pulleys when aligned.
assembly tomorrow, debating on bolting the cover and pump on together or seperately.
also, as far as i can tell, nothin wrong with my harmonic balancer, any one recco replacing? and why?
anyone have a diegrinder and arbor i can borrow? I'll supply dics and you can have any leftovers.

Well. Here we are again. If the truck is going to clayton, it will need a few things.
1 - E-fan installed.
2 - New tires.
3 - Front axle assembled. That would be everything - ring and pinion, shafts, seals, bearings, hubs. I have everything but an install kit, hubs, and seals.
4 - I would like to do the shackle flip in the back so that I can get the arched AAL out and level the truck a little more.
5 - Fix radio

I will see. I was kinda plannin on doing it all at once, but could do one then the other easily enough. They arch enough that they also work well to stop spring wrap.

This weekend I talked to Seth. He pretty much agreed that if he did not get the big white truck running by the 14th to drive it to Spring Creek, he would no longer be considered a man. All of you feel free to jump in here and berate, I mean motivate him. He told me this is what is left to do:
1) Set the gears in the front axle - he "claimed" he did not know how to do this. Someone go act like they know how to do it and put those in, I mean it's a front axle, it doesn't have to be perfect
2) Insert axle shafts - I don't know why I am listing this, this is like listing "wake up" on a to-do list
3) Find some Dana 44 hubs. Someone in CS has to have some used 44 hubs Seth can have on the cheap, if not Frick has some I know.
And bam after like 13 years, Seth could wheel something again. Then he could drive it down to Spring Creek to go wheeling. While at Spring Creek I could see him and he could finally give me my ****ing money!
