    Hydro assist stuff.

I'm looking into adding hydro assist to pigpen and am considering my options. The first dilema, is how to tap the box. There is the typical way of drilling into the two veins on the side, and I actually have a box tapped like this already. The problem with doing it this way is that I've heard of people running larger tires having tire to PS box clearance issues and eventually the tire rips the hose off the box. Now there is a vendor on coloradok5 offering this cap that replaces the thin one on the end of a saginaw PS box. In addition to the cap, the top plate by the sector shaft is drilled and tapped for the other hose. This way they are both out of the way of the tires. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas about either method? Here's pics of the product.

is the aftermarket cap really thicker, or is it the same as stock with just the raised section with the threads added? If there is no difference in thickness between that one and stock cap, and the stock cap is steel, PM me. I have a wierd idea that may work. And as for the top plate, can you tap that yourself? If they're cheap, go for it, as it saves some possible headaches and time. Or do it yourself if not.

BTW, do you know you have a paycheck at work?

Is your idea to drill a hole and weld a nut over it or am I the only one that cheap?

that was the basic idea, but I was going to go a little better and use a weld in bung instead

The cap is much thicker. The factory plate is made out of aluminum and people have tried to weld a bung to them, but they always crack. This is a prety baller piece, I'm leaning towards it unless someone gives me a reason not to. I plan on coming in Friday morning and staying till I finish the computer crap so I'll get it then.
