You're probably counting chickens, but we'll see how the next few months go.
I bet the next few months will be hot and there will be a lot of beer consumed.

I worked on it tonight. The driver's seat is out and I learned that the flip-forward mechanism on the passenger seat doesn't like to work any more so the rear bolts weren't accessible. Also took the rocker guards off since I kept hitting my head on the parts that used to protect the bottom of the fenders. Tried to get the pinion nut off so I can sell the gears/locker out of the D30 but it was a no go. Used a 3/4" breaker but all I could do was make the whole damn thing roll forward, too hard to hold something against it and put pressure on the breaker without an extra hand.
Put some superlube on the passenger seat so maybe it will want to move tomorrow night.

is this that high pinion dana 30 out of a cherokee? any shafts?
...
Yes and yes. One has kustom welded caps but if its for the YJ I guess it wouldn't matter much. I can pull those and the unit bearings if you need them.
I can't find the pieces or a vacuum diagram for that bull**** disconnect axle so it needs a 1 piece shaft
...
flem, a psl-920 will do the job nicely! (why the hell do I still know this **** off the top of my head?!?!)

You need the special seals to convert it to a one piece shaft, but I've got the shaft you need. Just let me know when you want to pick it up.
Robert and Fred came over tonight to watch me pull the axle shafts. They also helped move the D60s to a better location to sit and think about axle placement. I printed a picture of the Blue Torch D60 truss that would help get the Chevy D60 under the Jeep so we'll see how creative he can get with his computer. Also loosely kicked the idea of coilovers around, but the only way I want to run those is if they can be mounted through the hood.
through the hood, really? just get an 18" stroke and it will for sure be stickin' through hood. roll resisance is much better with coils and if you have a real frame you can make pretty clean coil mounts much easier without having to build a complex and time consuming engine cage. plus 2.0 emulsion smooth bodies are pretty cheap, and you can alway's put a resi on it later as funds allow if you need it.
i dunno why but i'm always surprised when i see this thread has been updated with actual work being done...
good job, git`r done!
figure out which 60 configuration you're gonna use yet?
