Anyone know the route for the power steering fluid? From the reservoir to the pump to the box and back to the reservoir? Is that the route??
How many turns is a Toy steering box from lock to lock?
Thanks.

Just set that TJ on fire, it won't ever steer for sh!t anyway, trust me on this one. As far as I know what you just listed for the route is correct. A TJ is about 3 turns lock to lock, I would assume it would be close to that.

Thunderbird will do just fine.
Hey my TJ steers just fine, a little trouble offroad at times, but nothing bad. Now the leak comming from the bottom of the sector shaft, thats a different story

Wranglers are 3.5 turns lock to lock.
I have ram assist now and a Toyota box with a longer than a Mazda drop pitman arm. I need to take the truck over to a hose place to have some lines made, and then I should be able to turn sharp. I'm going to test it out at Devil's Den once I get the PSF filled.
It was a royal pain in the ass to mount that box. After about the eigth hour I stopped giving a **** and just threw it in there. Some of the welds on the bottom of the frame are the worst I've ever done because I can't weld against gravity and under the truck all tangled up like a pretzel.
I'll hammer on it hard before TCC to make sure it isn't going to take a **** on me.
You do know the den was turned into a public park and vehicles arent allowed there anymore right? Why bother taking the entire truck to the hose place just measure the length you need and tell them what ends it has.

I saw a chadnutz thread and I knew a Fredo slam couldn't be far behind
Yes nutz that's the route. Box needs the pressure, pump makes the pressure, and reservoir can't take the pressure
Do a writeup on your PS stuff...what'd you use and how much did it cost?
What pitman did you use?
I think Roger Brown's page says how many turns lock to lock. Pretty easy to figure out though....divide by 2 to find the middle
I thought we weren't going to tell chadnutz about the den being closed and let him test it out and see how much enforcement there was

I might take it to a professional welder to finish up what I started one day, but I'm going to beat the **** out of it at TCC. I doubt it's going to start and finish failing on the highway...

I had to read it twice to understand that you think you will be able to tell when/if it is going to fail.
