    Emily's civic gets 38 when she's driving (25-30 when I drive...I like Vtec)
    That's a 2004 EX (bigger motor)

    I know the EX had a bigger motor than the other models, but it was the only way to get ABS

    As gay as this argument is, i think you are wrong. Honda only changes levels of interior betw the dx, lx, and ex. The si had a bigger motor. Edmunds, agrees with my findings.

    The accord changed motors betw levels but I dont think the civic did.

    Yes this is a gay argument but you may be right about the motor being the same. The tuning is different however. The EX had lower MPG on the sticker because it's tuned up more than the others. The HF could be special ordered with a really de-tuned motor. The difference between models is not just interior (and wheels). The EX was the only model that had 4-wheel ABS. I don't remember if hers is a 2003 or 2004, maybe there's a difference between the years.

    Since that comes from a guy with a powerstroke, I'm allmost gonna have to believe him. Should have alot of experience in the area.
