    Project: Taco Meat

    1991 red toyota 4x4 3.0l v6

    starter didnt work and it had a low idle problem when i bought it.

    That would be a 3rd gen truck, Tacos are 4th+
    you can call it a Hilux or Minitruck if you really want to, but it's definitely not a Taco

    i had to get a new contact for the starter and a new battery. you can see the one that wasnt making contact with the plunger. the starter is making noise like the pinion isnt retracting quickly. ill attribute that to not being used for a year until it either quits making the noise or quits working. the low idle problem was fixed with a simple adjustment of the idle screw.


    total repair cost ~$45 for the battery.

    not really, im gonna buff the paint and shine the wheels. then drive 'em off.

    still got the black beast. if the yota works out well ill sell the black truck. too expensive for a college students salary. plus, i dont really need a tow rig. the scout drives just fine and i dont wheel it hard enough to break it for fear of chipping the pretty yellow paint.
