    Big, heavy. Most of the ones I drove had to be double clutched. Would make a good theft deterent. You know how I say I don't like how long it takes to shift my 435? Those are worse. The one's I'd drive were 40-50 years old though, but most should have had less than 50K on them.

    thats just from being worn out, much like the one in your jeep. they weight about 20lbs more than a nv4500 and are about the same size, maybe 2" longer. im not too optimistic, its more of a curiousity thing. they ran from 1957-69 so im pretty sure parts and adapters are rare.

    theres a company that makes adapters for the clark transmssions, i think one would make a great offroad trans.

    I would have pegged it for a clark. they came in old dump trucks and buses. straight cut gears behind an oil burner would be great. no clutch needed w/ the small range of revs. double-clutching is for pussies who don't know how to drive
