    Heims

So can someone perhaps give me a hand tomorrow (Monday) or point me in the right direction as far as heims go. I'm in the dark as this is the first time I have messed with them on the new rig.

I know several on my 4-link are going bad (so says hippy) and need some tips on how to tell which need to be replaced, where to order from, and what I need to know (sizes, etc) to order new ones.

I appreciate the help - trying to get ready in time for Katemcy this weekend!
    Thanks,

i think scotti intends not to be "that guy" anymore, but since eric said they are worn out id prolly not worry about it and just run them for several more years.

I think it depends on how worn out they actually are.

Mad props to Eric once again for teahing me all about heims tonight. I am going to go ahead and replace all 16 using lances lift, just not before this weekend. I'll borrow a couple from Eric just in case for katemcy.

Now that I have seen how they come off, I would definitely have to disagree about the "cheapo wait until they break on the trail" plan. It would be somewhat of a ***** to rig up the truck to unbind the right one on the trail, adjust it to work, etc... Not to mention the fact that it could take other stuff with it if it was on a tough obstacle when they broke (like my Fox Air shocks - talk about $$$).

Besides, John's right, I am really hoping that I DON"T get nominated for any of my typical club awards this year
    Thanks,

what size hiems were they, btw? If its possible, you may want to look into replacing them with something like a johnny joint or evolution joint next time you're going though the trouble. They seem to last longer, and are rebuildable. Just an idea

I think the Evo joints would be best for you cause they could be a direct replacement for your heims depending on how the brackets are made

EVO joints are freakin expensive. A new set of good FKs or similar under a light buggy with a small motor should last a long time.

bling is a slippery slope...a couple EVO joints and before you know it he'll be trying to beadlock spinners and get his shocks gold plated

yeah, plus if you used and evo in right and left hand on 2 4links it would be at least 1600 for all of joints. That alot of money on some damn joints
