2.25 gain in tow mode (16.75 mpg). This tank I'll try economy mode. I know I'd get better gains if all my miles were on the highway because my city mileage is essentially the same.

With fuel at $2.79/gal it will take 31k miles to recover. We all know fuel will go up. If I only knew the rate I could better calculate this. Road trips will be better. Again, the noise decrease was well worth it.

We'll see what economy mode does.

more advanced timing, more conservative fuel mapping, and maybe higher injection pressure

or you could park that fuel-guzzling POS and get a saturn or cavalier for the price of the gas you'll save by driving it instead and you'd still have a 4x4 truck that could tow for ****

I was wondering how long it would take til nutz started getting **** on. Eric as far as driving a little car, what you say is true. But he would be driving a little car. that in itself sucks. I know - i tried it in the mustang. it was green and v6 and i felt like a ***** everytime i drove it. 15 mpg city and 25 highway just wasnt worth it. I think it blowing up was a sign for me.

i would guess that the chip on those things could make a pretty substantial difference in diff modes considering all the black smoke you see cummins jerkoffs makin all the time.

so nutz...take a good long highay run and lets see 20 mpg

remember that more expenses come with a little car that can take the economy out of it.

    Registration and Inspection every year
    Insurance

Really depends on how much you drive I guess. Those expenses would be less significant the more you drove. Also, tires, oil, etc... is much cheaper for a little car too.

I didn't realize fords got that crappy of mileage? My brothers dodge quadcab, 8ft bed, dually, got 13-14 pulling my blazer at 70. He usually gets around 18-20 on the hi way.
    1988 Blazer...RIP
