I'm sure you have done this, but just to be sure. The key to a pitman arm puller is to tighten it, by hand, until it is really tight. The next step is to tap on the arm, not the puller, with a hammer. If it doesn't yield, try some PB Blaster, then some heat. I think the key is to definitely tap on the arm after the puller is tight, then re-tighten. Hell tighten it up and get it tight then leave it overnight. Which part are you trying to salvage? The box or the arm?

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS GETTING MINE OFF. DO LIKE JIMMY SAYS. I DIDNT USE ANY HEAT AND I GOT MINE OFF, SAME BOX. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PULLER THAT IS MADE FOR WHAT YOU ARE DOING. I TIGHTENED MINE DOWN REAL HARD BY HAND, THEN HIT THE ARM, THEN TIGHTENED SOME MORE, HIT AGAIN, AND IF I MEMBER CORRECTLY IT PULLED LOOSE AFTER THAT. IF YOU WANT A HAND GIVE ME A CALL AND I CAN SWING BY.
