Rover Guys?

a buddy wants me to help him swap a trans for a 97 disco. whats years will fit and is it any harder than any other tranny R&R?

I believe any year disco tranny will work from 94-99. double check though...best way would be to call LR dealership and have them look up part #'s and compare or call the rover shoppe in houston. may be some differences when they went to ObdII. I doubt it though. they were all non-electronic. really easy to swap. The biggest ***** is going to be removing the Y-pipe, undoind all the console and shifter crap, and removing the tranny dipstick...they have a tendency to twist into a pretzel.
