    83 waggy build

Ok, even though it was against popular opinion, I sold the rover a few weeks ago for a few reasons and decided to work on the jeep. Only been able to work on it for a week so far but we got an edelbrock cam, lifters, timing chain, edelbrock intake manifold, holley 470 carb, holley fuel pump (electric), and a few other pieces on and got the engine running. Oh yea, we also took off over half the vacuum lines for the smog crap. The thing sounds great with that cam. here are a few pics of the progress so far:

    before everything:

new seats (late model sebring vert)

    The new stuff:

    after the engine work:

    and as it sits now:

Should be getting the 6" ift in on thursday this coming week. Still need to make mounts for the seats then put them in, finish up tuning the engine, get a taurus fan, put the new weatherstripping in, get some sort of insulation for the floor (any suggestions?) and hopefully mount the cd player.

I decided to go with the 6" all spring lift instead of the SOA/shackel flip because of time and money. The SOA comes out to more after the high-steer setup and stock springs (the ones on their now are completely shot)

i would also buy a msd coil like a blaster for it that seemed to make a differnece in my wornout ass 360, and maybe replace plug wires.
He who dies with the most **** wins, after seeing your collection you are in the lead no doubt!

Do a big cap conversion on the distributor and put on a ford tfi coil. That way the same ignition will work with gm tbi fuel injection.

HEI sucks on amc's. it doesn't fit correctly.

If you have big bucks to spend on a new distributor... I am very impressed with MSD pro billets. And they can work w/ efi too.

either change the max retard to 0 in the bin, or tie the 5v ref to the black wire off the knock module that goes back to the ecm.

alright sorry I haven't updated this in a while. I got the spring in last week sometime and theyre massive, not sure how good it'll flex but we'll see. I was planning on installing them this weekend as well as mounting the pass. seat but unfortunately my grandfather passed away friday sept.1 so I'm down in south Texas for the funeral. I will be back up for the first meeting so hopefully I'll see yall out there. Ill get some pics up of the springs and all the new stuff once im back and get my camera fixed.

Do a Rhino Grille swap, I did one on my Cherokee.

Not my cherokee, but below is a pic of a rhino grille. (Short vertical grille)

Or a razor grille. (Long vertical grille)

Nice to see at least one TAMOR FSJ is in running condition. Working on buying a 401 for mine to replace the 360 that needs rebuilt badly anyways.

These damn things are never done.

What size tires you gonna run with that 6" lift?

Did the seats that came out of that waggy fold forward by any chance?
