A friend of mine wants to change out his 4.3 vortec to 5.7 vortec. What all entails in the swap, like computer, sensors, wires?

How much does he want for the pile of crap left behind?
I'll ask him, I've got dibs so far but I'll prob let it go.
I'm also interested. I need something for my Cruiser. A 4.3 would probably do. I can't imagine it would have less (or much less) power than my old tired 350.

Im more interested in the swap, not the actual motor because its sold.
I assume this is going in a truck that had a 4.3 factory?
a less reliable more expensive version of the factory offerings
sell it and buy something better
...
Yea thats what i told him, but he wants to.
my money is on never running again once the 4.3 is pulled, but heres some of the things I know are different
need to add wires for the 2 injectors
PCM is different
exhaust
seems like I've seen a few different pinouts for the 4.3 and 5.7 of the vortec era, so PCM and harnesses years would have to match
...
Flem! Answer your phone!
"You know, this car is so fast, that giving Corvette owners this car, is kinda like giving an AK-47 to a pysch ward."

I'd have to go out to the car for that
...
What about replacing a 5.7 with a 5.3?!
Boats and hoes
Stumble in to the liquor store
With a dollar-fifty for a bottle of wine,
I know just what I'm lookin for
Thunderbird will do just fine.
Yeah, you can pick up a 5.3 just about anywhere these days....even Springtown, TX. (add another one to the BMF collection)
