    SplitFire Gauges???

Anyone used or know much about splitfire gauges. I looked at them at thier booth at the Houston Dragstrip and they looked pretty good. They are almost half the cost of AutoMeter and do the same thing, plus much more versitile. The only problem is that I can't find a speedo

I know nothing about them, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

    j/k

I just spent a bundle on AutoMeters, so I'm very interested....

    For Splitfires I looked here:

    http://www.247autoparts.com/store/electricmeters.html

    2 5/8" - Fuel Level $35.98

and compared to UltraLite Autometers here:

    http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...65&prmenbr=361

    2 5/8" Electrical

    105-4414 Fuel Level, 0-90 Ohm, 1965-up GM $37.99
105-4415 Fuel Level, 73-12 Ohm, Ford before 1987 and most Chrysler $37.99
    105-4416 Fuel Level, 240-33 Ohm, (2) $37.99
    105-4418 Fuel Level, 16-158 Ohm, 1987-up Ford $41.99

Maybe I'm missing something. Where do you see them half price?

If you're looking for good, cheap gauges, I'd just get these:

    Also, here's a list of Summit Racing's gauges, I don't see them listed: http://store.summitracing.com/section.asp?d=10&s=118

I thought Splitfire said that they carried them, but after reading again I see that it's only the plugs. http://www.splitfire.com/stores.htm

Only two US companies carry the gauges. The only one online is:
    http://www.247autoparts.com/store/tachometers.html

They ONLY sell Splitfires, not AutoMeters. Go figure.

The best would be to find a site that sells both. That way you're dealing with the same markup scale. When I was shopping, I found that Jegs and Summit are within pennies of each other.
