    cj locking hub upgrade

i blew my 85 cj7 stock hub during a 47 trip so its time to replace them. What do you recommend WARN, mile marker, avm, or superwinch. Those stock plastic ones suck anyways.

warn standard. stronger than the premium, lifetime warranty, and you can find on ebay for ~60 shipped.

I saw some test talking about the strength of the two, and the standards were supposed to be the same, if not stronger than the premiums. Premiums just locked/unlocked in a 1/4 turn, as opposed to the full turn for the standards.

Guy I bought mine from had a whole bunch, I'll see if I can find his name/number. He's a seller on ebay. I paid 65 shipped for my standards for a waggy 44.

And they best way to look for them on ebay was p/n. Go on the warn site, find the p/n that's for your app., then search it in ebay. Give it a couple of weeks or so before you say you can't find anything.

are they the external type hub, because I think that Coop had problem breaking those becaue the bolts backed outs, but you can look the hub with zipties and electrical tape

From what oliver told me the internal part of the hub is exactly the same, only the spring/dial housing are different.

Many people prefer the regular hubs because they use a simple, strong spring. Where as the premium use the gay wave spring which is damaged easier and can get gunked up easier as well.
