I was gonna hold out as long as I could but I'm a giddy school girl.

I've been busy finding deals over the past 8 months, my wallet feels lighter but I saved a ton of money by getting good opportunities.

The upgrade list includes (everything is new and in box):

A set of Yukon 297x Superjoints
    http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-135...er-joints.html
    $250 shipped

A pair of Superior EVO 4340 d-44 stub shafts
    http://www.superioraxlegear.com/stub...t-p-14500.html
    $200 shipped

    M.O.R.E. steering box relocation bracket
    http://www.mountainoffroad.com/_e/St..._CJ_7_CJ_8.htm
    $80 shipped

Great Lakes off-road Ford 9" Pinion guard
    http://www.greatlakeoffroad.com/GLO-...oke-Guard.html
    $60 shipped

Superwinch LP8500 with mounting plate, roller fairlead, steel hawse fairlead, snatch block and two d-rings
    http://www.superwinch.com/products/p...0.0.0.0?pp=25&
    $400 pickup

Two H3r 2.5lb dry chemical fire extinguishers
    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Tools/2-5...t_pn=H3RMX250B
    $109 shipped

Tuffy Deluxe 6.5" wide stereo console
    http://www.tuffyproducts.com/p-95-02...6-12-wide.aspx
    $100 shipped

Rockstomper behind axle dana 44 highsteer arms with 1" spacers and 4" studs
    http://www.rockstomper.com/catalog/s.../highsteer.htm
    $175 shipped

    And the big stuff:

    JB conversion:
    4:1 gear set
    http://www.jbconversions.com/products/dana300/

32 spline rear output with 1310 cv yoke
    http://www.jbconversions.com/product...0/rear_out.php

32 spline front output with 1310 standard yoke
    http://www.jbconversions.com/product.../front_out.php

Clocking kit with 23 spline input
    http://www.jbconversions.com/products/dana300/plate.php

    Full rebuild kit
    http://www.jbconversions.com/product...00/rebuild.php

Novak Twin stick kit with boot
    http://www.novak-adapt.com/catalog/d...twin_stick.htm

    High-angle Driveline, 2 1350 u-joint 32 spline output flanges
    http://www.highangledriveline.com/new_products.html

ALL OF IT FOR $1100 shipped!

So ya, I spent some money. But I saved more then I spent in total. Plus when I finally get back to work on this thing I will have even more parts to sell that are coming off. So I can recoup some loss there as well.

Excited! This thing is going to be a beast with 130:1 gearing and 100" wheelbase!

why don't you just get a used atlas and have a better t-case then a polished turd that will crack the case

LowMax gears are bigger and better than Atlas gears. I have been researching the stock case as the weak link issue and it is not that big of a deal. I do plan on making a case girdle connecting from the rear output to the inspection cover to strengthen it. People have good success with this. There is also a replace-a-case option if something does happen.

Coop is running his d-300 and has had no problems.

With that said, I will make you a deal, if you can find an atlas or stak of equal gearing/outputs/ex. for $800 then I will buy it and you can keep it!

BTW: the d-300 is in no way a turd

I found out to combat case flex with the d-300 that people are using the inspection cover from a d-20 which is thicker and hold greater capacity.
I'm thinking of going this route as well as making a 1/4" flange that extends out to to the rear output.

However, I found these and could also go this route. Just think mine would be stronger and cheaper.

This is a d-20 but the same thing could easily be built for the d-300.

    So we're talking axle width.

    Width of front 63.5" WMS
    Width of rear 60" WMS
    Difference of 1.75" per side

I have some 1" spacers and was thinking that the slightly wider rear would add to stability. So what set-up would you rather run? The above or below.

    Width of front 63.5" WMS
    Width of rear 62" WMS
    Difference of 0.75" per side

    Thanks for the opinions.

You mean over the past year? or when I get back?
    The jeep hasn't moved/started since June 2010.
When I get back it will prob be driven around about once a week, maybe more depending on where I get settled in.
