The torchmate was finally moved to my shop, one step closer to the ultimate rover arm.

Toyota of Dallas has a good stock of arb parts. Phone too low for a flash. Mdf base with factory carpet covering tied to factory points. Lots of tie down points and fridge tray fixed to Mdf base.

so I think its time to do ram assist steering on the disco.

1.5" piston is too damn big. It looks to be the smallest readily available cylinder. I suspect thats why AGR/PSC/Poly all claim its the ideal size.

This is the only 1" bore ram I've found that wasn't more suited for lab work.

Is there a better 1" bore ram out there?

Flem, I'm sure you know this, but a 1" cylinder with a 0.625" rod is going to give you 0.785 square inches in one direction and 0.479 square inches in the other, in other words, one direction will have 39% less force than the other, which I think could suck.

Also 10" is retarded long. Most fool size rigs run an 8" cylinder with some sort of stops, The cylinder I put on the klogger is 6" and will put the axle shafts in a bind. The klogger cylinder is a trailgear 6" X 1.5". If you don't like the trail gear, you can buy the PSC cylinder and paint it black, then stick a trail gear sticker on it, it's the same thing.
