Ski boat and riced out diesel. Add a flat billed hat and you've got yourself a douchebag starter set.

I need to change my fuel filter soon on my 06 duramax. What filters are good? Do I have to order something from Amsoil or a performance company or does Napa house brand suffice? Thanks.

Look at the factory rating and compare to the after market ones, I think I run a 5 micron filter and have yet to have any problem. On my powerstroke I just bought whatever was cheapest and never had a problem though.

Napa has a "high efficiency'. Whatever the hell that means.

And their standard one for $9 less.

Neither one talks about how small it will filter down to.

    Be cool and do this:

    http://nicktane.com/osc/product_info...products_id=51

Then you can use CAT diesel filters, which are cheap AND a 2-micron filter.

    I ended up ordering through. . . http://www.fleetfilter.com/

It was 30% cheaper then running up to Napa, even with shipping, and their site says that they are 4 micron filters.
