Figured the costs of running a 2011 6.7 powerstroke versus a 2008 v10, both 3/4 ton 4x4 work trucks with tanks, compressors, lots of tools, and junk. V10 costs $40 more per 1000 miles. That's $8000 per 200000 miles. Diesel engine costs about 14000 more now I think. Of coarse you can't get v10 anymore except in f450 and f550. Numbers with the new little gas motor are probably even better.

First oil test results. Two reading a little high, may just be my specific oil. But wear metals look really good..

Not that you can read it, because photobucket is being a bitch.

Picked up an Edge Insight CTS for my truck. Kinda sweet, lots of different monitoring available(up to 8 things at once, including fuel rail pressure, speed, timing, temps, you can add an EGT sensor or others onto it), customizeable background, touch screen, 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, keeps a sort of Top Score sheet for your truck with best times, highest speed achieved, etc. that totally won't result in me getting a ticket..

Not my truck but you get the idea.

Not sure if it's available in other makes but it lets you check injector balance rates on the Duramax, handy to see if you've got an injector on the way out.

Plus since my truck is an '05 I can use it for an EFI Live Tune when I get around to getting one. That way I don't have to install the DSP5 switch, I can control the tune straight off the touch screen.

They run about $370 off of Amazon, work with any OBDII vehicle but seem to be geared towards diesels. And they have provisions for a backup camera, so I just bought a ****ty $13 one off of Amazon that had good reviews. We'll see how that turns out..

Cab lights. The deer catcher needs to come off for new paint. Next is tow mirrors and a leveling kit.
