Got the ol' Dodge back on the road after this happened in November last year....

Got the truck back a few weeks ago and it's badass...

I had Relentless Diesel do all of the work. Chris, who owns and operates the shop is an Aggie grad and a really good dude. He did an awesome job.

Basically ended up with a whole new short block, not much was salvageable from the old bottom end... Decided to do a few upgrades since it was a full engine build. Mind you, these were done with daily driving/towing duties in mind not the drag strip.

Cam, turbo, injectors, and head work really woke it up.

With the ol' Dodge strapped down on the dynojet it made 503 rwhp and 962 rwtq @ 45 lbs of boost.

    JB will love this....

(I still refuse to put flippy tow mirrors on it though.)

Which motor does your truck have? 24 valve? What did you go with for a turbo? How's the smoke?

Still a 24 valve, need to double check on the turbo specs wanna say 62/59 or 62/60.

Not sure what you're asking by how's the smoke?

Is the smoke manageable? Most all the pre-commonrail cummins trucks I've seen with any decent power are smokey pigs.

With the comp turned down and light throttle it doesn't smoke much at all. But if you set it on kill mode and hammer down then yeah, it will smoke ridiculously...

I am looking at tire options for the dodge. My tire guy showed me a tire I haven't seen before. Cooper Mastercraft MXT. I can get it in a 37x12.50x17 D which runs 50PSI and 3525# load. They are much cheaper than others also. Anyone hear anything about these tires, or what would be another good option. I'm running 35x12.50x17 E Nitto M/T tires right now and have not gotten crap for mileage out of them.

All I know is the guys at cardoc like them a bunch on their toyotas. Never heard anything about them on an 8k truck though. Never ran the nittos but my toyos have been awesome for all weather traction and not much noise. Travis and I both are running the 37x1350r17. Fuel tires are a knockoff and look just like the toyos and are quite a bit cheaper.
