    Lightbulb Kermit Sand Dunes

My lil trip to the sand dunes north of Midland. The sand was wet all weekend so it was more than perfect for the buggies. Here is a few pics of a friends buggy and mine. I would have got more action shots but the damn batteries quit on me.

My rig has a VW 1956cc stroker motor with a single Delorto 45mm carb with a built swing axle rear.

My friends buggy (the orange one) is a 2017cc with dual Delorto 45mm carbs with a built bus rear.

Cool lookin' buggy's, I dig the vw motors. Just make sure you aren't wearing shorts, looks like you could easily accumulate several pounds of sand in the crotch.

those pictured look like they are more for carving dunes and bouncing across the desert, better bring a kidney belt if you want some big air in a stock length beam front chassis. we had chenowith a long time ago that we put fiberglass side panels and hood on and It made it much more fun.

I thought the sand dunes were in monahans, not kermit. At least the ones we always went to when we were kids were in monahans.

The ones in Kermit are privately owned. Monahans isnt very buggy friendly.
