    re drilling center pins

how much forward can i redrill a center pin hole on my cj leaves. i want to move my axle forward and was thinking that 2" would be great if it wasn't to much. even with the trimmed fenders i hit with the 37's. plus i needed to make a driveshaft and didn't want to have to make another one when i lengthened the wb later so why not do it now
Red 81 CJ5, 35's, 4.10 and detroit, 4 to 1 dana 300, tbi efi, flat belly, cage, chromos and auzzie in front... sometimes runs. body damage to come

dont redrill the leaves. its hard steel and you will break leaves where the other holes are. just redrill your plates and perches. maybe as much a 1.5".

yes, do not redrill the springs as that is just asking for trouble. Redrill the perches and the u-bolt plates to match, and move the axle forward. If thats not enough, try finding a spring with the correct length, but a different offset and swap the main leaf from it into your spring pack
