we have had ours since 1990...maybe longer and it has been used a lot. It only has 3500# axles and has been overloaded many times. We've hauled that big POS IH on it from Austin. It was heavy. picked up the rear wheels on the Dmax. Hauled rock, dirt, engines, forklifts, tractors, concrete, dead cars, my old 3/4 BB suburban, etc. It probably has 75k or more miles on it..it's on it's 3rd set of tires. brakes have been redone once. I would buy another one. I personally like wood floors. doesn't burn your skin and things don't slide off when you're hauling other stuff.

I picked up my Texas Bragg for $1400 at a place off of 59. It's 16', 3500lb axles, brakes, lights, ramps, etc. The deck on it is pretty wide, the Jeep barely fits but that's with full width's and 15.5" wide tires. It works great, I have no complaints. My dad used it to tow his 3/4 ton suburban to San Antonio with no issues.

also from MP. there are 4 or 5 big name trailer builders there, along with more than a dozen smaller places. give them a call and see about their prices. off the top of my head- big tex, texas bragg, performance, diamond C, top hat... it wont be hard to find places closer that sell them. if they are cheaper at distributors, these are all good brands.

a quick question here. Is a 16ft car hauler long enough for a rig like mine (110" wb on 40" tires?), or should I get a 18ft one?

A 106" wb vehicle with 38" tires fits just fine on a 12' trailer.

Easily. The reason I bought a 20 ft. was I haukl other stuff like firewood, icechests and bench seats with me on trips so I needed a little extra room. Plus I wanted to be able to haul crewcab parts trucks

Pretty sure the name is Town and Country Trailer Sales. It's located on 59 near New Caney. Bought it in early Feb. 06.
