    Ebrake cable

when i swapped my 10 bolt for a 14 bolt I kept the same ebrake cable on it. One side hooked up and the other one didnt. I tried to get it inspected, but it wouldnt hold while my truck was idleing in drive. So I was thinkin if i got an ebrake off of a single cab short bed 1 ton, would it hook up to my 86 jimmy?

yea the the ebrake cable, my bad, if its longer, what are the other options that are inspectable, because it has to be a stock ebrake set up for them to pass it.

Doesnt have to be stock, just mechanical (i.e. not hydraulic).

I really don't understand your dillema. Can you not find an e brake cable at the parts store?
