    E4od

    anybody know how to work on, repair, or find for a real cheap, an E4OD???? my friend has a 95 F-250 powerjoke with an E4OD... its pretty much non functional as of now... help?

    tranny shop...I rebuilt one with a buddy...scratch that tried to rebuild one with a buddy... this was after having little trouble with rebuilding a 700R4... we took it to a tranny shop...

    i wouldnt suggest even thinking about rebuilding an electronic transmission. it is kind of like rebuilding a 4L80E..........

    Automatics are for sissies. They cost more initially, rob power costing fuel milage, and cost more to maintain. All this and they are less fun to drive.

    However, why do manufacturers rate their autos to pull more than their standards? Are they stronger?

    This will be one of the few times i agree w/ StandardNutz. You can pretty much drive a standard thru anything w/o worrying about f*cking it up if you get water or dirt in it. You work @ a dealership Nix...hook him up w/ one of the service guys, everyone needs a little extra $$ and @ my dealership the techs could get in the shop on the weekends if they wanted.
