It has as much as any other 3 link, I am still not overly concerned because it only gets bad on the last few inches of articulation. I wanted 16" shocks for the verticle travel and rear steer came with it, I can deal with that. leaf springs create tons of rear steer I really don't hear people complainin bout them as it's a secondary criteria. I also think my framerail/torquebox rear link attachment setup is way stronger than any setup that mounts both lower links together in the center. with the way the motor is in there the lower links would have to go under the transfercase or be shortened more(only 34" now) to be triagulated anymore so not really worth it. the motor has to come out bottom and the 205 being wide limited rear link placement.

Here's a few update pictures. The first ones are of the finished steering. Pretty sweet looking.

Ryan has also started tearing it back down to do finish up a lot of welding on the tubing. Axles fall down, go boom.

Ryan: " Lets flip it over so I can set the skid on here and get it finished."
Me:"Hey Ryan, does this transmission have any fluid in it still?"
Ryan: "Nah, that **** is empty"
    Two Minutes later....
"****, get another beer can, quick!"

...and a couple of the junglegym with the engine out.

    Update.

St.John has been working on the details. Rocker guards, steering column, brake and gas pedal, and seat mounting. Now that I think of it, I need to go back over and see how he's coming...these pics are almost a month old.

Wait until you see the bellcrank setup that goes over to the master cylinder.

yep...sitting at home on a friday night....awesome. Figured I'd add the pictures I've been needing to add.

First off is the bellcrank setup for the brakes.

Here's a shot of the gas pedal

    Passenger side seat mounts done

Here's the cowl bracing for what is left of the Cheerookee body

More bracing in the front tube structure

Finally, Ryan. "Always welding to be done...can't talk...must weld."

so is the stock dash going to stay? what's your plans for that? I know you want AC and all. the chrysler/jeep dash will be covering up to much of your handy work! really cool ideas.

That is pretty cool. Seems like it would collect debris and water in there if you didn't keep it cleaned out real well. I wonder how hard it is to get to with the hood on.
