    Cage Questions

Since my trip home has been postponed I have started looking into getting a cage done for the chevy. I hate not being able to do this myself, as I had a good time wasting tube, er I mean working on the front. Do yall have any thoughts on where I could take it to get some good work done?

Gulf Coast Crawl shop in Houston is my choice. I met the guys and they were cool and Dave does some outstanding work. Search "Fool Injected" on pirate jeep forum.

Shrockworks down in Htown has been churning out some great looking stuff here recently.

Ed, as far as I know Krawltex still does cages, I'll ask Glenn next time I talk to him.

I can't speak for BaerTrax for work done, but I just wheeled all weekend with Russ and Christie Baer and they were good people. I am going to them with my gear stuff for the 4runner.

I think I would recommend Justin at Rocktek Custom Engineering in Grapevine.

I wheeled alot with Dave way back in highschool. He worked at TerraMotive in west Houston and actually I think he installed my blinging Rancho 4" IFS kit on the Bronco. He can be a ****y SOB, but he does know what he is doing. They had an impressive setup at Spring Creek for that run a couple months back.

I'd like to hear that. I've wheeled with him a ton and he's always been a great guy and fun to wheel with.

hey guys i didn't want to start a controversey, i also have talked to russ and would agree that he is a good guy, i also live 3 blocks away from his shop. Its just personal opinion that i would not pay for some of the work i've seen him do. Again i DO NOT want to start a rift in the club, sorry for pushing any buttons it definently was not intended.

It's cool. If you have seen some shoddy work or something done by him, there is nothing wrong with bringing it up. I was just saying he "seemed" like a good guy but if someone has had a different experience with him or his work, it would be nice to know.

The cage? It isn't pretty but has held up to a ****load of rolls.
