Anybody have a suggestion for an off-the-shelf long-throw clutch slave? My friend currently has a slave from a 84 CJ7 4.0 which he had rigged to work with a '72 350 with a bellhousing from a '72 chevy truck that had the fork window modified. He recently upgraded to a '94 350 and apparently the flywheel is thinner (or at least the whole flywheel/clutch/pressure plate stack) and the clutch doesn't fully disengage with the pedal, so we are considering modifying his slave bracket and throwout fork to push closer to the fulcrum, but a longer-throw slave may be a better answer. Another option would be just to replace the bellhousing/fork/slave but he says later model manual chevy trannies have one of those stupid internal slaves and he doesn't want to go there.
