    Blowing fuses

So my dodge keeps blowing the parking lamp fuse up front which takes out my brakelights and instrument cluster light.

I had busted my driver rear tailight so figured water was just getting into the light and shorting the fuse. So went and got a new lens and bulb, put it all back together and changed out the fuse up front. Made it about a total of 5 minutes last night and nothing.

    Esplane:

Oh yeah got a warning for a 71/60 and no brakelights!

I t could be plenty of things, check all your wiring and fuses on that circuit for starters. Has anything been changed or removed lately?

the only thing that has been done is my brake controller but that was wired to the pedal and battery, its getting power but not going through to a trailer that works on another truck.

And where is the brake controller grounding to? Is it the same place the other circuit is grounding?

the controller is wired and ground straight to the battery, only other connection is to the brake pedal wire harness

I've twisted in a taillamp bulb wrong before (wasn't seated correctly) and it caused weird problems. Did you disconnect your brake controller to see if that solves the prob?

Maybe they were like ford and wired the cruise control cut off switch on the master cylinder and made it hot even with the key off. Then the switch leaks brake fluid through the membrane and burns your housed down.

except replacing door hinge pins every 6 years, frool pump at 120k, tranny at 115-150k, motor at (how many, jerry? )

Clayton so it was just a coincidence this happened about the same time you fixed your lights and installed the brake controller?
