This is the cage I'm going to order. 10 point for $300, not bad
How does that work? Does it come pre-bent and you weld/jb weld it together? Or can it all fit in from behind with the top removed?
It says the material is "1-5/8 x .134" wall EWS ", EWS is electric welded seam right? Isn't that like the pipe you run in a house, like a step down from HREW and 2 steps down from DOM, and 5 steps down from chrome moly?

It appears that EWS is HREW, for some reason that site is mega geah and calls it that.

says ews is used for hand rails and exhaust.
Karl, what makes you say it's hrew?
ews= electric welded steel
hrew= hot rolled electric welded
same thing

The website you posted says there are these in order of strength:
DOM
CREW
HREW
Then it lists details about DOM, then SEAMLESS (Not HREW), The 3rd thing it talks about is EWS, I think EWS is like saying coke and HREW vs. CREW is like Coke Zero and Diet Coke. So EWS is electrically welded as opposed to seamless. Then hot rolled EW, cold rolled EW, and DOM are subsets of that group.
Further under this website:
http://www.steelnorthshore.co.nz/ind...Path=1013_1042
It lists EWS, then under that tab is ERW.
I also found a place on the miller welds forum where some guys had a similar conversation.
I figured this all out by using the internet, so it must be taken as the biblical truth.
In conclusion that roll cage site is gay for referring to it as EWS (The miller weld forum even says this). My recommendation to you would be to sell the bonco and buy a jetta.
